Dublin's GMHS closed for move to Meath Primary Care Centre

After 27 years at the Baggot Street Hospital, Dublin’s Gay Men’s Health Service (GMHS) is moving to a new home at the Meath Primary Care Centre on Heytesbury Street in Dublin 8.

The clinic will be closed for 2 weeks for the move and will re-open on Monday August 12th. Clinic days and hours will remain the same, although the phone number will change to (01) 921 2730.

While the clinic is closed there aren’t many other options available for STI testing and treatment. The GUIDE clinic at St. James’s has switched to an online booking system for asymptomatic screenings and is no longer accepting walk-ins. However, if you have urgent symptoms you can attend the clinic and get advice from staff there. Find more info on clinic hours and the booking system here.

If you are concerned about a possible exposure to HIV in the last 72 hours (3 days) and want to get PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis), you can attend the GUIDE clinic before 4pm Monday to Thursday, and before 12 noon on Fridays. If you need PEP outside of those hours you can attend a hospital emergency department. However, emergency departments may charge a fee of €100, or more if you are a non-EU citizen and have been in Ireland less than 12 months.
